Pat Nugent
Patrick Nugent has represented trade unions and employees for the vast majority of his professional life and has represented trade unions and individuals in almost every conceivable forum. Patrick has had the good fortune to act for unions and their members across many different sectors of work, including private industry, the building trades, and the broader public sector.
Patrick has presented at many national and local conferences on a wide variety of topics including the futility of workplace drug testing, the challenges to accommodating mental illness and how to defeat last chance agreements. He has also taught constitutional law at the University of Alberta Law Faculty as a sessional lecturer and taught labour arbitration in the Law Faculty from 2004 to 2025.
When not working Patrick enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and thinking about what he’s going to wear tomorrow.
